The above is correct. The W-2 tells you what you earned and had withheld.

Go to the public library and pick up a tax form 1040 EZ or get one online from http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/index.html

You can fill in all the info on your own. There are instructions listed in the form.

File it. You may get a refund, and since you are a student and are probably not making much now, you would probably get a refund

Teh W-2 form is your employer's statement of what you were paid (your net pay) and what deductions from your overall (or gross) earnings were made. You use this document as a basis for filling out your IRS Form 1040, which is where you calculate what taxes are owed to the government, if any. When you have completed this form, you'll know whether ot not you are entitled to a refund. If yo have never done your taxes before, you need to get with someone who has done so, use tax preparation software (such as TurboTax, to name but one of many), or go to a tax preparer to have them done for you. Remember that the deadline to submit your tax return (the -1040 and its supporting documents) is midnight on 15 April.

Good luck!

Your W-2 is the form your employer sends you that shows how much money you have made and how much was withheld for state and federal taxes. It is what you staple to your tax form and mail in to the IRS.

It tells what you earned for the year 2007 and how much taxes were withheld by the employer. You should get a form 1040 (probably 1040-EZ), read the instructions, and fill it out. You will probably get a refund if you only worked for a short time. The IRS will send you a check.

a w-2 is a statment of earnings. If you are single. Fill out a 1040ez form.

W-2 Shows your income. Pick up the 1040EZ form from the post office and fill it out (it's simple, don't go to a professional). You will get all the money you gave to the state and federal governments back.

The W-2 is an earnings statement.

Go to www.IRS.gov and get a 1040EZ form. Fill it out, or go to Taxslayer.com and let them run it. It will tell you if you get a refund or not.

It is your wage and tax statement. Get a 1040EZ form and fill it out. Or go on line to www.irs.gov and it will tell you all you need to know. You can also download forms you need.

The W-2 form is pretty much telling you what you made threw out the year at your job in 2007. It tells you how much you made, what taxes were witheld for state federal medical etc. If you earned it you can file a return. I would suggest using form 1040EZ

This is the document that has most of the information you need to file your taxes.

Box 1 is how much money you made last year.
Box 2 is how much taxes were taken out of your paychecks for the year.

Boxes 3 and 5 are probably the same number as box one. It is how much of your income was taxable.

Boxes 4 and 6 are more money the government took out of your check for social security and medicare.

You need to go to www.Turbotax.com. Create an account, its pretty easy. Then click file a return. They walk you through the whole process. It will cost about $40 but is quick and easy. You will probably get most if not all of Box #2 back. Good luck.

I would have a friend that has done it before show you how though just in case you get confused.

The W2 form is a report showing how much money your earned from your employer and how much income tax, social security, and medicare tax was withheld from your pay. A copy of the report goes to the IRS. You get three copies. You attach one to your federal tax return, you keep one, and the third one is for the state if your state requires it.

its a form that your employer fills out which states your income, dependent and stuff like that. you then use this form and w4 form to fill your 1040 ez forms (tax returns)

W-2 is U-2's little brothers garage band.

Just kidding! Pick up a tax "E-Z short form" at the post office or library and it will explain everything. Don’t let it intimidate you. It is indeed E-Z.

el_al_or
Go to a tax professional you might get a refund, no you do not need to have a dependent, no you cannot give it to a dependent.

It is your Tax Report Form. You use it to File your Tax Return for 2007. YES, you will probably get a REFUND. You are a Student and, you may Qualify for an "Earned Income Credit" which is extra money Back = More Refund than you Paid in.

duckinhimer
it depend on if you payed anything in or not you'll need a 1040ez form i think you can get it at the post office.or i think turbo tax has a kind free deal, not sure though

the form must be filled out by all employees for tax purposes. if you are single put 2 in the box. look at the back of the form. it explains everything. many people fill in 0 because they want to get a refund at tax time, but that way u get less of your paycheck evey month, giving the IRS a tax-free loan.

i would call the IRS and ask what you should do. That way you don't get screwed over in the end

Miss_CrazySexyCool
It's the paper you use to file taxes. You can onli file if you've made a certain amount of money, but I forgot exactly what the amount is.
