What would you give to save one of their stinking useless lives?
'Course, if resources becomes a problem, I read in another answer that they might actually taste like pork, so you might compare the cost against farm subsidies.
Having not eaten any manflesh myself, all I know is that the rotting human I once got wind of smelled like pepperoni, so maybe they'd make a good pizza topping? Hell, if you're willing to put tunafish on your pizza, why not?
Anyhow, economics is always more complicated than just money, right? |

It is difficult to calculate the total cost. A person who is unemployed may also have a spouse and children on benefits. Possibly receiving tax credits, pay no council tax etc., Also there is the hidden cost of them not paying income tax. All in all, though it may well be through no fault of there own. the answer is a pretty tidy sum. |

Only the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) could supply that information. If somebody becomes unemployed after having worked 20 years (paying National Insurance contributions) they are simply claiming back what they have paid in. That is why it is called Insurance (like an insurance policy) - most people never need to claim but a few unfortunates do. As Britain is a civilised nation - unlike some where unemployed people are left to starve on the streets - the Government has decreed that every citizen is entitled to the sum of £58 per week to ensure that life's essential needs are met. (Have you ever tried living on £58 per week?). Therefore those who do not qualify for unemployment assistance (JSA) because of insufficient NI contributions are given Income Support instead. If you really want to know the cost, I suggest you contact either the DWP or approach your MP to find out the information for you. |

there is no such thing as the average unemployed person.
some people are unemployed through no fault of their own and find another job quickly so only get back what they have paid in or less. some are genuinely unable to work due to illness or disability and should get help to survive and again only get what they deserve from the taxpayer and then there are the scroungers who have no intention of working and they are the ones who cost the taxpayers a fortune. |

i have always paid into my unemployment. if you use it you have paid for it. if you don't use it then it is a cost because it was allocated to government entities, not you. |

The total cost is that the people of this country have to pay for the disgusting employers who pay pathetic wages for un-regulated work and there is no pressure on those employers because self-righteous mastrurbators defend them on the basis of their own class prejudices.
Unemployed persons are one of two things...lazy or victims...which side of the argument do you fall on?
A Thumb? That is your answer? Intelligent debate! Thanks!!! |
