Besides other things it may be related to meeting new challenges, acquiring a sense of accomplishment, meeting new and higher targets, self improvement, acquiring new skills, being versatile, chances to discover new paths, new horizons ( could be new places, countries, cultures, religions etc.), meeting new people & making new friends & so on. |

For me, it's the social interaction. I love the people I work with. We're like a big family. I've worked there for over 20 yrs because it's like my 2nd home. We look out for each other, care about each other and support each other. We're better than family. Plus, I love the work I do. I make a difference in people's lives every single day. The paycheck is like a bonus for doing something I'd do anyway.
Someone once told me... "Do something you're passionate about ; and you'll never 'work' another day in your life."
I truly feel sorry for those of you that find work an interruption to your day. Nothing beats the feeling of pride in a job well-done....no matter what you do. |
