What penalty do you think Wesley Snipes should face?
He is accused of a $12 million tax fraud and failing to file several years returns. Should the courts really send a message to other high profile tax protesters by sending him away for 15 years. Or should they let him off if he pays his taxes?
I think that he should receive whatever the punishment is for the average person. No exceptions for being a celebrity, whether that exception is going easy on him or making an example of him. The crime is that same no matter who commits it.

I think they should let him off, I like his Blade movies...

He will be taking the same steps as Al Capone, probably will even get the same jail cell as well.
He needs to pay his taxes just like every hard working American does in this world. I think its a living shame when a celebrity does gets involved in tax fraud. Can you only imagine how many more that are out there? More than we care to think about....

He should suffer to the fullest extent of the law, based on what he has done. Having said that, there was a case in the UK about 25 years ago when the top jockey in the country was sent to jail for 3 years. A lot of people thought that was a bit over the top but tax collections from the horse-racing industry went through the roof. Then they tried it with a famous comedian...in his home town...with jurors who thought the world of him...in a city where people look out for their own...guess who won?

Let him pay the taxes like most people

I think he should pay the 12 million, fees and cour costs if there are any and be placed on community service as a tax collector.

Definitely jail time but not the full ride. Maybe 5 - 7 yrs, so he'd do about 2. Then require to pay back taxes, plus penalties nad interest.
