Here is a paycheck calculator!
http://www.paycheckcity.com/netpaycalc/netpaycalculator.asp
After putting in your weekly or bi-weekly pay, the state you live in, the number of allowances you are claiming and what your filing status is, it will figure out for you exactly what is coming out in taxes on your paycheck. |

For the feds, 7.65% for social security and medicare, zero to nearly 35% for federal income tax. Then probably more for state and/or local taxes.
You don't give anywhere near enough info to get any closer of an answer. |

Which government? State, Feds? For the feds, it depends upon your income level. All states are different. |

6.2% for social security withholding, 1.45% for medicare withholding, federal withholding depends on several factors; your wage amounts, marital status and number of exemptions on your W-4, and then of course, state withholding differs from state to state. I've attached a website that will help calculate withholdings. |

Way too much...like 25%. |

I'm guessing you just got your first job. Usually after everything about 22%. Though it depends on what you put down on the W-4. The 22% is if your parents still claim you on their taxes, so you put 0 on your W-4. |

on average goverment take max of up to 25% unless you owe child support or you owe them money then it could be higher but if nothing owed you should be around 25% for federal and state tax with Medicad and Social Secerity. |
