It depends on your income, dependents, and number of exemptions you have. For instance, if you are a single parent or full time student making minimum wage, your taxable income is probably 0. For most people, its between 20-40%.

You gotta give us a LOT more information than that! We need to know your income. Owning a home is more complicated that renting an apartment. If you own a home, we need to know the mortgage. If you rent, we need to know if you have renter's insurance. Also, if you have your own business, we need toknow all that information and whether or not you are working out of your home and all those expenses.

iloveanswers!
depends on which state you live in. in california, it ranges from 15-35%. SO HIGH!!!

Get some tax write offs like business/work expenses, you can write off certain loan interest payments as well.

We don't know how much money you make. So, therefore, go to www.irs.gov and you can find out there.

It depends on your income, i.e. your tax bracket. It's usually between 25-30%.

I'm assuming this question is from U.S. It depends on your tax bracket and your income. If you make over $70K, plan on 40% going to state, federal and FICA. Sorry!
