Keep your options open. Do well in school, stay out of trouble, explore everything. There are aptitude tests you can take that will provide a guideline of what you may be good in. Talk to your school counselor, see what he/she has to say.

Focus on things you like and go after them. It could be a dozen things. You'll eventually learn what you can and can't do to make a living and excel at it because you chose it and enjoy it. I am a Career Counselor. |

Depends on what your priorities are. I know I took a backseat career-wise to be/move closer to my parents. Career-wise I am up for anything as well, not many great options around here so I must settle...blah, what a terrible feeling, but I've placed my parents above my career choice. What I love doing still remains a hobby for me, as long as I am still doing it I am happy.
So figure out what you like. Do you like to meet people? How old are you? Are you looking for a career or just a job? |

Try writing a list of a few things that interest you. Do some research on each and see what a job or career with it might involve.
Or, you might try talking to a friend or your high school guidance counselor (even if you have been done a while). They can be great resources for ideas. |
