What wage would you be happy to earn? I do not mean silly celebrity money but a reasonable sum which would ?
mean you and yours could live comfortably but not the lifestyle of the rich and famous - lol - ie something not unachievable!

£25,000 a year would do me. I get a little pension from a previous job and all I want is to be able to pay my bills and have a treat every now and then.

WelshLad
No matter how much people earn, they will always want more.

I earn between £20 - £40 per hour, but it's only part time. If I worked full time, that would do very nicely. Ideally, I would like it for not doing any work at all.

floppity
I think I'd be quite happy with 12k for now... but for me, the wage I'd be most content with would be 30k.

baby_face_paris
I earn a good wage but another ten thousand would be welcome!

To live comfortably and debt-free, and save a little, a combined (me + wife) total of 50-60K would be perfect. Anything less and we could survive, anything more is just for showing off.

I disagree that whatever people are paid that they would want to earn more. I'd be content with what I made now if I paid less in taxes because my actual take home pay is significantly less than what I actually earn. I could actually take a less paying job and end up even because of taxes alone. How stupid is that? However that job is even less secure than this one. I could live with $55,000 or $45,000 (tax free).

Rhys
30k would do me nicely
