When are Americans going to...?

When are American's going to hold their government accountable for the financial mess they are causing?

They have lost $2.3 Trillion just in unaccounted for military funds. They just can't find it. They don't have a clue where it went.

And this money was lost BEFORE 9/11. They conveniently figured out the money was lost the day of 9/11... when no one even noticed.

I bet if I owed the IRS $2.30 they would get it out of me. I know if I owed them $2300 they would... by ganishing my wages and flagging my bank account.

But when the government loses $2,300,000,000.00... we don't even bat an eye.

We should be rioting in the streets.

Why?

Well, that's $8,000 of your hard earned tax dollars. Not just $8,000 of yours... but another $8,000 of yours if your married. If you are a family of 4, you have been screwed out of $32,000.

In other word, genius... our Secretary of Defense has NO IDEA where the money went. I guess they don't let the Sec. of Def. "in the loop", huh?

Get real. If Rumsfeld says the money's missing... it's missing. It's not being spent on some secret project.

Some would label questioning the government about anything having to do with the military or the "war on terror" as unpatriotic. Even though, as the article from the 'Online Journal' pointed out, much of the fraud lies with the private contractors, the "Beltway Bandits," with insider government connections. But, those connections within the government profit greatly from the fraud and excessive contracts, so letting the public continue to have this attitude and continue looking in the wrong direction only benefits them. And that is only if someone even cares enough to begin looking into what's going. on. Far too many people don't.

The government also refuses to be accountable (and held accountable) to the citizens of our country. As the article noted the pentagon refuses to publish audited financial statements. The Department of Housing and Urban Development has refused to even disclose the "amount" of money lost for certain years; that's not even getting into "where" the money may have gone.

On January 4, 2008, the Judges of the Supreme Court of the United States, in conference, voted to deny the Petition for Writ of Certiorari in the landmark Right-to-Petition case We The People v. United States. On January 7 the Court issued its Order denying certiorari.

Yes, we should be rioting in the streets, because it looks like nothing else is going to accomplish anything. But, as with everything else--good luck getting anyone to agree with that, or actually do anything.

ya, their are a lot of other government agencies that a lot of money has been misplaced and they are not held accountable, they act like its just part of the government doing business and don't ask no questions~!!!

and i believe it is the Pentagon that several million dollars being misplaced every time they check the books is acceptable and just regular business for them~!!!

and then you have the Vets being mistreated, yet the Veterans Administration is maxing out their government issued credit cards for personal uses~!!!

First let me say that I agree on the missing money. If I remember right the President even said it was missing. What gets me is there was Billions sent back to Iraq and they seemed to have lost that money also. Now some one in Iraq knows where that money is and they ain't telling. There is now telling how much money has been found and not reported or is still hidden just where The Great Dictator left it and my guess is it will never be found.

You know that I am also upset VERY HIGHLY!!! I like Bush but it is beging to fade from me. Here is the reason why:
That much money could the Good Americans that are poor like my wife and I sure could have used that money for better use.

I am a Vietnam Vet and the people we lost over there I feel was all in VAIN, because Watergate come along and Nixon had to leave office. I still remember he had told the North to leave South Vietnam alone or we would return and really lay the north off the map. I spent two tours there and now The men and women that sereved there have still not be reconized as we should have. I know about the Black Wall all of those are dead or still POW or MIA. I am glad that they built the wall for those that GAVE IT ALL. They deserved the wall.

I was for the war because our people were killed in the towers, we just went at it the wrong way. I am just a Poor Boy from TEXAS so what do I know ? It is disgusting to think of what has taken place. We lost a lot of men and women in WW 11. My dad fought over there and he passed away with the feeling that this country had not honered them either. That was in 1997 and he never heard any thing about the Memoral that they finaly decided to Build. Ain't that a HECK of a note. I know that I am a lot like Grandpa; Say something about Politics and you better have a lot of cigs. or Pipe tobbaco for the rest of the day and into the night because he was going to tell you how he felt about it. He was one Man that I have GREAT RESPECT for because I found out a long time ago what he said was TURE. In a way I am glad that my parents and Grandparents esp. Grandpa that they are not here to see all the mess that is going on. They made it through the GREAT DEPRESSION because they had farms and that is how they made it through. I am 60 and come May 8, 2008 I will be 61 and it scares me the way ever one in Washington DC. President can't do everything without the Congress and the same for Congress. I see it as a MAD HOUSE up there because every one wants to cut the other person's throat except for Kay Bailey, and Mac Thornesberry who are my people.

I am like you Bill and Carey S. What can we do about it and I must say that a riot in the streets is not the answer because that would make it easyer for the terroist to do their thing and that is just what they want. We don't have much of people to Pick from for President. I have to say I like McCain but I do disagree on some of his ideas. The other two God help us because every one should know that if Hillary gets in then it will be Bill giving her orders. They messed it of for 8 years and we don't need them again. Hillary talks Health Care she did not get any where then why would people think that she can do it this time.

I could go on and on but it would most likely take the rest of my life and I don't have that much time left.

Right on, when will we hold them responsible ,whose money are they spending on whose backs well they heap these debts!!!! We need a recall bill put in motion and shorter term limits on certain officials who abuse their office now!!!!! If we don't stand up to them now who and what will suffer the end !!!

They don't have enough rat-holes, not even in DC, to put that much, I worked for the Feds,and one observation, I learned, is that those that screw-up slightly receive the most severe punishment, and those that screw up royally, get buried in paper-work that never comes to the table. The people in charge will never admit such gross error on their watch. The IRS will stay as long as they are " thor's hammer" of retribution to whistle blowers, when dismissal alone don't.

Admittedly there is a lot of waste and fraud in government, that's a given.

BUT

They didn't "lose" the money. There are a lot of secret things our government needs to do. Things like the Manhattan Project during WW2. Things like whatever our military is doing in space. What, you think it takes the Shuttle a week and a half to deliver supplies to ISS and take out the trash? Lots of stuff going on we may never even know about.

Another example: Stealth fighters. Do you think the F-117 was in the budget obviously? "Dev elope and build secret fighter." That secret was built in the 1970s and we didn't see it until Panama. What about the "UFO's" we apparently have built now?

Where in the budget do you think that money comes from????

Lot of secret stuff going on and the money has to come from somewhere. It will not be televised and it will not show in the budget. So the military budget has some voids. BFD. I don't trust my government much either but if you don't trust your military, the last honorable thing in the world, then you probably should just quit. Fake your death and become a beet farmer in Idaho. disappear
