Companies are legally required to have them available by the 31st of January. You'll usually get it around then. If you work for a larger corporation it might be available online but you'll have to ask someone at your workplace. |

Okay, are you asking when your W2 comes in, or when your tax refund is going to come in?
If you want to know when your W2 will come in, if it's being mailed, it has to be post-marked by the end of the month. So, they have to mail it out by Jan. 31st.
As far as when you get your income taxes back, it all depends on how you filed, when you filed, etc. Generally, at the most it will take 2 weeks for delivery, 2 weeks for processing once it gets to the IRS, and then at most 2 weeks for the check to be delivered back to you, but that's all assuming that all the information is correct on your return. Also, those are usually the maximums on the times - well, except for the processing by the IRS. It all depends on when they receive it - depending on how busy they are it sometimes takes longer.
Personally, once I get my W2, I prefer to do everything online after that. taxact.com is great, and free. It's step-by-step. You still have to mail something in, but that's only AFTER you get your check, just a signature stating that you got your check and that everything you posted was correct.

Employers have to mail them by the 31st of January. For some reason most of them wait until that day to send them instead of sending them early so you can do your taxes. |
