When do we start getting our W2's for 2006?
I can't remember, when do the W2's start coming so we can do our taxes for the 2007 year?

They are to be postmarked no later than Jan. 31st, 2007.
Remember, just because they are postmarked doesn't mean they will be sent out right away. Some companies are like that, i suppose.
Also, if you have moved, be sure to notify your employers of the new address. Many times it will cause a delay in receiving all the paperwork to file your taxes, especially if it was a place that you haven't worked for since the beginning of the year.

Employers are required to send W-2's no later than 1/31/2007, not insure their receipt by that date.

Big Biscuit
Employers have until January 31 to send your W2s. Last year, my wife's employer waited until Jan. 31 in the evening to mail them off. We couldn't do our taxes until a week later. It sucked.

W-2 must be postmarked by Jan 31. The post office is very picky about postmarks matching the date they receive the items during the end of January and the beginning of February. I used to operate a postage meter that required manually resetting the date. In June the never noticed if I forgot to reset the date for 2 or 3 days. In late January to early February, they caught 3 items out of 4 mail tubs with the wrong date.

In January.

They start to be sent out whenever the company gets their final payments completed. Usually, the middle of January 2007.

All other income information has to be sent out, no later than March 15, 2007.
