If you become owner of Rs.10 crores, they you may have to pay Wealth Tax. One house property (any value), or a plot of 500 sqmts (any value) is free from Wealth Tax.
The basic exemption limit for wealth tax is Rs.15 lakhs. If your wealth exceeds Rs.15,00,000/- then you have to pay wealth tax @1% flat (no slabs like income tax) on the properties like Gold, Silver, Car , houses and house plots on the value as on 31st march. If the cash in hand exceeds Rs.50,000, then the balance will be liable for wealth tax. Amounts in the bank like S.B or current A/c and all bank and other deposits, postal deposits and company deposits and loans given to others are free from wealth tax.
So make Rs.10 crores soon and help the tax people by paying tax.
