Local jurisdictions sometimes give tax breaks to lure firms to their states/cities, but this is not restricted to a particular immigarant status.
In general, no! It is absolutely not true! |

That's not true at all. Any person generating any type of income IN the United States will pay taxes from the first day it's realized. |

I dont think so. youll need asocial to open a business and they will have to apply for a tax id to sell anything and automatically you'll need to pay taxes if there is any profit like any other business |

There is no exemption in the tax code for immigrants. They pay taxes at the same rates as US citizens. |

I am an immigrant and I have started a business but I have paid my taxes since day 1 of working here in the US. I have never heard of that rule that immigrants who start their own business do not pay their taxes.
Uncle Sam sure accepts every penney I pay him -- and I often have to pay come tax time. Business has always been good so I never got a chance to get any refunds. |

This question is sure to start a rumor and give immigrant haters more ammunition!! |

A good portion of businesses don't pay taxes for the first few years at least. If you start a business and pay taxes your first year then you are dumb and doing something wrong.
I don't believe there is any tax breaks directed at immigrates. However anyone with half a brain could run a business for 7 years paying like no taxes unless you are turning an incredible profit. Most companies are it the red for the first few years unless you use all your own money to start it then you are just dumb. Though from you question you do sound pretty dumb. I mean you actually bought into that crap clearly spread by an ignorant racist. |

10 yrs & it's up to $200,000 . Then they bring over another brother, cousin, relative, & it goes on, & on & on. Ain't that a crock? |

You will need to consult a tax person on that. H & R Block could probably help you. |

That is not true. I own my business, and I am not exempted on paying the taxes. You own a business you pay taxes. Immigrates or not you are required to pay. IRS will let you either pay quarterly or yearly. I preffer quarterly then it is not hard in your pocket. I am a proud business Pilipino/American owner that pays taxes. It is callled hard work to our American dream. |

No, that's just a ridiculous rumor that's been flying around. Anyone that owns a business in the US pays income tax (assuming they have taxable profit). The IRS is more than happy to take anyone's money-they have no prejudices at all. |

Very possible, that's true. |

I don't know what the immigrates do with tax but I do know immigrants also have to pay tax if they want to keep their business license. |
