THONG GIRL | When is the EARLIEST you can file your income tax at the end of the year? |
as soon as you get your last check stub for that year, right? what if I got fired in November, and got my last check stub, can I file in November |

You cannot file before the end of the year, as tax legislation is still being finalized. This year, the earliest to file was January 15.
Don't always consider your FINAL paystub to contain all the information you need to file. Depending on your income level and benefits, certain numbers are different on your W-2. |

You cannot file with the check stub, you have to wait for the W-2. If you cannot get a W-2 you can file using a Substitute W-2 but this cannot be filed until after March 15. As soon as you have your W-2s and whatever other tax papers you need you can file, but you need these documents. |

You have to wait until you get your W-2 form in the mail before you're allowed to file taxes. |

You will have to have your W-2. Once you have that, you can file. |

No, you need to wait for your W-2. And the IRS doesn't accept returns until mid January - this year it was Jan 14. |

With last check stub, you can file mid-February, showing good faith effort to get W-2. With W-2 you can file now, since Jan.11. |

As long as you have your W-2 and tax season started January 15, 2008 |

The IRS doesnt start accepting tax returns until the second friday of January....W2 should be received first week of February.... |
