In all states, the standard deadline is January 31st for them to be postmarked, however since Jan 31st is a Saturday this year, the deadline is extended until Monday February 2nd. Allow a few days for the postal service to process and deliver the mail after the post-mark date, so you should expect to have W-2's by the first week of February.

Private A
By law, all W2s should be sent before Jan 31st

Its up to your employer - the state has nothing to do with it.

Stupid Flanders
Normally, by law they need to be postmarked no later than January 31. Since that falls on a weekend this year, they need to go out by February 2.

If you do not receive a W-2 from your employer by February 15, then speak to your Manager, HR department or Union Representative.

W-2 forms are issued by the employer anytime after January 1. The employer has through January 31 to issue them.

W-2 forms must be mailed by January 31. If the employer waited until 1/31 you should receive it by February 3 or 4.
