I owed money on my taxes and sent them in mid April. The check that I wrote to pay my taxes cleared my account on April 15. The last two digits of my SSN are '00', so, my stimulus check should have been mailed by May 16, according to the IRS chart.

The info on the IRS site also says you should allow 6 weeks after your return is processes, so perhaps my check would not have gone out on the 16th. However, it's now been nearly two months since my tax payment cleared my checking account and I still have not received my stimulus check.

When I use the "Where's my Stimulus Payment?" tool on the IRS site, I get the error saying "We are sorry. Specific information about your Stimulus Payment is not available."

Have others experienced this much of a delay in receiving their check? Should I try to contact the IRS? On the error page I receive, there is a note saying that phone representatives will have no more information than what is available on that page.
