I entered everything correctly, as far as I know. What are tax exemptions and how do I found out how many we have? My husband is military, and we have two children. What do I put? Also, just checking to see how many ppl have gotten their rebate, in the 21-75 direct deposit category. Are there any actual confirmed dates other than the 9th?? |

No one in the 21-75 category has gotten their rebate. If you check the IRS website it says that people in that category won't start getting their rebates before next week.
The "Where's My Rebate" link will not work until you group of numbers is up.
As for how many exemptions I believe the number is on 6d of your return, but it is basically how many people are listed on the return...so you and your husband and 2 kids would be 4 exemptions. |

I entered everything correct on mine also and it states that I made an error. I was supposed to receive my payment today and did not. I am trying to get through to the IRS now to see what is going on. The number of exemptions is the number of people you claimed on your return. |

You need to refer to your 2007 tax` return to see how many exemptions you claimed. I do not believe they have processed the next batch of rebates yet. |

I tried to get info through this, and it kept telling me my info was incorrect. I know for sure that the information I submitted was correct. Maybe you should call the IRS 1-800-829-1040. They should be able to give you a status. Hope this helps. |

The 'Where's My Rebate' linked worked for my parents, who are in next week's group (last two are 22). It says their payment is to be direct deposited on the 6th. |

If the web site isn't giving you any info, it means it hasn't posted the rebate to your account yet.
For direct deposits on a Friday, the website will update around Thursday. For checks, it would update about 2 weeks before the checks are actually mailed. |

I am in pretty much in the same boat. Mine ends in 13. I have filled out the correct exemptions. Any I know for sure we filed Married-Joint Return. Still no info... This SUCKS. |

Me too.. mines end in a 09 and I haven't heard anything yet.. I tried that "where's my stimulus check" and it didn't work. Maybe that means I'm not getting one.....But I thought I qualified. I need to get to the bottom of this. I'm calling the IRS. |

My moms SS# ends in 27. Her info is showing up under "Where's My Stimulus Payment" as scheduled for direct deposit on May 6th, so it IS updating already for the next batch.
There just doesn't seem to be any reasoning to how the IRS is doing anything concerning the rebates right now.. |

Tax exemptions is the number in the box at the end of the "exemptions" block on your tax return. In your case, with 2 adults and 2 kids it is most likely 4 unless you have other dependents you didn't mention. |
