They should be with YOUR COPY of your Income Tax Return for 2006. If they aren't -----shame on you. There may be a charge if you get them from your employer or Bank
Judy1
You should be able to get one from your employer at that time. If you can't, the IRS can provide it.

Contact your employers for copies of your W-2s from 2006. They may be posted online by your employer also. Did you file your tax return for 2006? There should be copies with your 2006 tax return copies. Your preparer probably has copies also.

What ever company you worked for in 2006 should be able to give you a copy of your w4's if you have lost them/ They are required dto keep information for several years.

Talk to your employer from that time. They're required to keep that sort of information. After this amount of time, you may be charged a small fee to recreate it, however.

1) Try where you filed your taxes last year. Many tax preparers will keep a copy
2) Try your employers, they might be able to get you a copy.
3) You can get a transcript from the IRS. Fill out from 4506-T and they will send you a transcript of what was sent to them.

You should keep a copy of all important tax papers for three years minimum. Ask you employer if they can give you copy
George
Your employer maybe, but they always file a copy with the IRS.
Go to their website and ask the IRS to send you a copy of your records for whichever year. Ironically, they are happy to help!
Hope this helps!
