You can cash it in at almost any bank. If you have an account I would use your own bank.
The savings bond must be old enough to cash in (used to be 6 months old..its been a while since I cashed one)
You may want to call the bank ahead of time to see if they need a birth cert or something for the minor....and also make sure that the way the bond is addressed you are the eligible guardian to cash it.
You may also probably be required to fill in an otc (over the counter transaction) with your social security number to report the interest to. |

The treasury department has a website with all that informaton. Do a Yahoo search on savings bonds and you will find it. |

I would think that any bank would cash it for you. You might have to have an account. So I would go to your bank. |
