That is the office that will run you around forever. Get a social secutity lawyer!!! Seriously it will save you a ton of hasssles. My mother battled for 5 years to get her disability (she cannot even walk) and they told her she isnt diabled enough. But within 2 months of getting her lawyer she recieved her first payment!!! |

Wow that sucks...I would think S.S. would be able to tell you. I'm not sure what the unemployment office would be able to do.
Maybe S.S. misunderstood what you were asking. Or they are just giving you the runaround. Which wouldn't surprize me one bit. Contact the IRS. They should have records. Although, their more hinky than S.S. |

you have to apply for SSI. there's a whole process you go through. try that. |

You say that you have not worked for 5 years, have you been paying your insurance stamps since you have been off work.
If you have been paying then your self you should have a recored of the stamps you paid, if you haven't then the unemployment should have the recored. |

Are you applying for social security disability or SSI? Then the social security administration people are the people you need to deal with.
It's next to impossible to prove that you DIDN't work. Social security should have records showing that you had no reported earnings though. Something really strange is going on here. Ask to speak to a supervisor at the social security office.

Where ever a person works in a state is listed in the employment records of the United States government.
The local unemployment office can print out for you proof of your working record and absence of working record for just this purpose.
If you have not worked , you're in the clear and will have proof. If any one reported you and your social security number as working, you're stuck with the proof in that direction. |

How do you prove a negative:
Social Security will produce a record of reported earnings for your lifetime. With the operative word being reported. Getting proof of filing or non-filing of tax returns would do the same. Unemployment reporting records are only valid for a few years. A doctor's letter stating you are unable to work would also back you up. |

get a notarized letter from your mother saying you been under her care for the pass 5 years and that she's been paying for the expense. but she can't afford to pay them anymore. This is the normal settings since I am pretty sure you have not file tax returns for the pass 5 years. also does your mom file you as a dependent? if yest then also include her pass 5 years worth of tax returns. |
