You can go to the library, purchase the book, "Tax for Dummies", go the IRS.gov website or you can purchase "TurboTax" software and teach yourself how to do tax. Most tax companies charge you a fee to take the course with them. Some will give you back a small portion of the fee if you pass the class. You can also register at you local community college and take a tax course. |

You can go to your local book store and get a book on income taxes. It may not be the best reading material but at least you can flip through the pages and read what interests you the most. |

IRS Publication 17 is about the best reference I know of for general tax info. You can find it here http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p17.pdf If you really get interested, just go to the IRS site - irs.gov and see what they have available. They do have a frequently asked questions section on their site. |

Maybe they have a "taxes for dummies" - they have "dummies books on everything
Seriously, the IRS website may be a bit technical but try the bookstore - ask the employees for help
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER get info from H&R Block. Their "tax preparers" generally don't know tax law and if they are in a crunch to get people to hire, they will hire people that flunk the final. Even if they know something, the stuff that they teach is very basic and there are lots of basic things that are "beyond the scopr of this class." |

I found the best website today for learning basic tax stuff (then some). It is called "bankrate.com." Click on the "tax" tab and go from there.
I know you will learn from this. |

H&R Block offers a basic tax course that you can take and you are not required to become an employee. You can also pick up "Taxes for Dummies", it's a very basic and easy to understand book. |
