Unless you have really complicated finances, all you will probably need is the Federal 1040 or 1040-EZ for and then whatever forms your particular state requires. You may also need a city form if you work in a city where taxes were deducted. Look on your W2 -- you will be able to find out there. The best place to get the forms are either at your local public library or your local branch of the post office.

IRS.gov You will need a 1040. If you are a parent, or if you can claim other deductions, you will need other forms. If in doubt, use a program to complete your taxes.

E-filing is great because you can get a refund quicker if you overpaid your earnings.

Go to Taxact, com. They'll walk you through and filling out the forms and filing the federal return is free!
