Where or how can I do my income tax with only my last year check stub?

You can go to the H&R Block Tax Estimator online and it will tell you but you'll need info off your W2 to actually file

Judy1
You can't file legally until you get your W-2. Since the info on your last paystub doesn't necessarily give you all the info you need anyway to file, if you try to fake it from your paystub you run a good chance of ending up having to file an amended return.

Some commercial preparers will do your return from the paystub, but they can't actually file it with the IRS until you bring in your W-2. If you get money from them in the meantime, it's a high cost, high fee, very short term loan guaranteed by your actual refund, not really your refund from the IRS.

Banks aren't giving loans in advance of tax refunds on returns prepared on pay stubs this year. They did last year. IRS won't accept filing of return without W-2s until mid Feb.

Ole Jer
Your employer must furnish you with a W-2 by the end of Jan.
If they did and you lost it, ask them for a duplicate. If they will not, file your taxes using the check stub, send a copy of the check stub with your tax return and a letter explaining the circumstances to the IRS.

Everything you need, including Federal and State identification numbers will be on your W-2 when you get them. It is only a couple of weeks so it is not going to kill you to wait. If you adjusted your withholding you would get your money as you earned it and wouldn't need to be in such a hurry now. You could also change your W-4 and put the money in a savings account. That way, next year when everybody else is trying to jump the gun, you can go get your money plus some extra interest.

H&R block will do that if it is the last one on the year.

Samsinite
you cant. you need your W4. call your last employer and ask them to mail you one. they can't say no.

if they went out of business, or are no longer around, go to one of those financial places that do taxes like H&R Block.
