Which of the 50 United States does not have a sales tax?

(Just an FYI..I paraphrased from Wiki...the link is below)

Delaware does not have any sales tax.

Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon all have no state sales tax; however,...

Alaska: Some cities and boroughs can and do have local sales taxes.

Delaware has no sales tax at all.

Hawaii has no sales tax but has an excise tax that it levies on the business (which is charged to the consumer) and a tax to the consumer on the excise tax paied by the business (sounds f*cked up to me too)

Montana: Again, not state sales tax, but some municipalities charge a local sales tax

New Hampshire charges a tax on certain items (meals, room occupancies, motor vehicle rentals, cigarettes, beer, wine, gasoline, the use of electricity, and phone services .

Oregon like Alaska and Montana, the local municipalities can and do charge a local sales tax.

Montana!

Clueless
New Hampshire for sure

k
Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon do not have sales tax, but in Alaska local governments can levy up to 7% which most do, Hawaii has an excise tax which applies to almost every transaction, Montana towns that are tourist traps have small sales taxes, New Hampshire does levy a tax on meals, room occupancies, motor vehicle rentals, cigarettes, beer, wine, gasoline, use of electricity and phone services, and in Oregon local municipalities can have a sales tax of up to 5%, so I guess technically Delaware is the only state that is really sales tax free.
