Otree Pc in Cleve | Who here believes that Income Tax is required by law and exactly what laws are there to this effect? |
I do mean to refer to Federal Income Tax. Re: IRS. Since we are creeping up on that time of the year. I just wanted to see who was still under the presumption... and who has since dispelled the illusion. If anyone wants to know, I have NOT paid income tax for over 8 years. I haven't any fear of any consequences from any IRS agent or similar. And I am more than happy to tell anybody why and the how. And its really very simple. So simple. Additional Details A few details for you to consider (after the 5th or 6th reply):
1) Fed Income Tax does NOT go to pay for bridges, roads, infrastructure, or anything else. This "money" goes wholly to pay the national debt.
2) What is the National Debt? It is the Interest on the money that the Federal Reserve LOANS to the gov't and in turn other smaller banks.
3) I am not at the "bottom" of the social whatever-ya-want-to-call-it. Freedom in this country, or any other, can never be realized when enslaved to the Central Bank (FRB) which controls its supply of (fiat) money.
4) A currency based on debt is doomed to fail. Debt = slavery. FRNs are debt in perpetuatude. The FRS and IRS are not truly government agencies. They are foreign entities acting on behalf of international bankers that have been running the Greatest Show on Earth for far too long.
5) Thank you to those of you who have seen the Light and bring Joy to the art of Liberating one's self. I applaud you. |

8 years, that's about the same amount of time that Wesley Snipes went without paying income taxes. Result: CONVICTED on three counts of willful failure to file tax returns. He hasn't been sentenced yet, but he is looking at about 3 years and he still has to pay the back taxes, penalties and interest.
Edit:
Re: Income tax money only goes to pay the national debt.
B.S. and a little research will show that to be false.
The amount of income tax revenue collected in 2006 was approximately $1.04 trillion. http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/taxfacts/displayafact.cfm?Docid=203
The amount on interest on the debt paid in 2006 was approximately $406 billion. http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/ir/ir_expense.htm
Corporate income taxes don't even come close to covering the military budget, so forget about all the other government agencies. Face it, while a large portion of the income tax pays interest on the debt, the rest does pay for government services.
Re: National debt is the interest the Federal Reserve charges on the money loaned to the government.
Conspiracy theory nonsense. The government borrows money by issuing securities, such as T-Bills, T-Notes, and T-Bonds. These are sold at auction and anyone can buy these securities, even you. The Federal Reserve does not buy these securities at the auction. The Federal Reserve buys the securities it holds on the open market. The open market is where holders of government securities sell their securities before the maturity date. This is because the government won't redeem a security before it matures. Therefore, if a holder needs their money before the maturity date, they have to find a secondary person to buy the security.
In 2006, the Federal Reserve only held about $800 billion of the approximately $8.5 trillion government debt. In 2006, the Federal Reserve collected approx. $36.5 billion in interest on those securities. However, AS REQUIRED BY LAW, the Federal Reserve returned excess earnings to the U.S. Treasury. In 2006, the Federal Reserve returned approx. $29.1 billion to the U.S. Treasury. This can clearly be seen on the independently audited financial statements of the Federal Reserve.
http://www.federalreserve.gov/boarddocs/rptcongress/annual06/sec6/c3.htm
I bet someone told you the Federal Reserve had never been audited too. Do you feel like an idiot now? You should.
EDIT #2:
ROFLMAO! You have read every conspiracy theory website and watched every conspiracy theory movie and you have swallowed the B.S. whole!
Re: Zeitgeist
Too many inaccuracies to go into here. However, here is a website that makes a start. http://webskeptic.wikidot.com/zeitgeist-federal-reserve
Re: Your second link referring to "Cracking the Code"
You should pay more attention to your gurus. Well, at least how badly they are doing in court. Here is some more information on Peter Hendrickson.

Re: The 14th amendment wasn't properly ratified.
It is the 16th amendment that refers to income taxes and it was properly ratified. Secondly, everyone who has tried the "16th amendment wasn't properly ratified" argument has lost in court every time. That includes Bill Benson, one of the authors of the book, "The Law That Never Was". Bill Benson claims he researched his book for a year. It took me all of five minutes to find he misinterpreted at least one state constitution. Bill Benson is also an ex-con.

Re: UCC theory and all-capital letter names.
Complete bull nonsense.
Here is an explanation along with court cases shooting down that theory.
http://evans-legal.com/dan/tpfaq.html#capitals
BTW, I have $50,000 for you if you can prove all three of the following statements are false.
1. The income tax laws are codified as Title 26 of the U.S. Code.
2. The Federal Reserve is independently audited every year.
3. You are an idiot.
You can't win because all three are true.
Edit #3:
I can see you are beyond help. The simple fact is there is a law concerning income taxes. It is completely constitutional and it applies to any resident of the U.S. that earns more than the standard deduction amount. Another fact is that you have no clue about how the Federal Reserve and the U.S. monetary system works.
BTW, for those who get deluded by the claims of the questioner, if you don't believe there is a law, how about doing some simple risk assessment. There are only four results to refusing to pay taxes.
1) You stop paying taxes and the IRS never notices. While some people may get by for years before getting caught, it is highly unlikely.
2) You stop paying taxes and the IRS does notice. The IRS initiates civil proceedings against you and assess penalties and interest far in excess of the original amount of taxes. The IRS will collect by garnishing wages, bank accounts, and placing liens against any property you may own.
3) You stop paying taxes and the IRS does notice. The IRS decides to proceed with criminal charges against you. However, you get extremely lucky and are acquitted of criminal charges. However, the IRS still can and will start civil proceedings against you. See #2 for the result.
4) You stop paying taxes and the IRS notices. The IRS begins criminal proceedings against you and you lose. You will spend anywhere from 8 months to many years in federal prison. Additionally, you still owe the taxes, penalties, and interest. The IRS will take all it needs from your assets while you are in prison to satisfy the tax debt. If you don't have enough assets, the IRS will garnish your wages from whatever job you get when you get out.
Since there are only four results from refusing to pay taxes and three of them are bad, does anyone besides OTree really think it is a good idea? |

THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I SAW THEM ON THE INTERNET:
Nobody ever really landed on the moon - it was a giant hoax. What you saw on TV was filmed in Utah.
Elvis is still alive, and performing marriage ceremonies in Las Vegas.
It is unconstitutional for the government to tax your wages (income tax), the 16th amendment was never ratified, and most of what we think of as income isn't really income anyway.
Excuse me now....I just won 2 million pounds in the online UK lottery when my email was randomly selected, and I have to go answer the email.....

The answers to your questions (or at least most of them) are found at http://www.hereisthelaw.com
On the counts that he did get convicted of, Wesley Snipes will still spend about 3 years in prison. |

If you have no tax liability then you pay no tax. Enjoy your life at the bottom of the socio-economic scale.
For the rest of us -- and you as well -- Title 26 of the US Code, all 64,000-odd pages of it, is the law that controls the Federal income tax. That's the law that says among other things that as one of society's bottom-feeders you don't have to pay any tax.
Personally, I enjoy my $75k income and the lifestyle and perks that it provides here in a small Midwest city. And I have no problem with paying my fair share towards the common good.
Edit: What the hell does the 14th Amendment have to do with income taxes?? Get a clue, Bozo! And your references to crackpot protest sites or goofy movies have zip to do with the legality of income tax laws. Sheesh!
If you have income that exceeds the filing requirement amount that tax has not been withheld from, eventually the IRS will become aware of you and WILL collect the taxes due. You might get lucky and dodge the bullet on CRIMINAL prosecution but the CIVIL collection matter is an entirely different matter -- EVERY tax protestor to date has paid the bill eventually, either voluntarily or by force of law.
On the other hand, if you earn wages subject to withholding and don't file a tax return, statistically you were owed refunds for the years you didn't file. The IRS won't press the non-filing issue since they get to keep YOUR money if you don't file. If you're in that boat then you are paying MORE than you need to. Welcome to Stupid Street if that's the way you handle things. LOL! |

Congratulations, you are the first person from the fruitcake fringe to post this shopworn piece of trash today.
Although you may prefer to listen to kooks and find it difficult to think logically, try it just this once: If what you are saying was correct somewhere along the line the courts would have ordered the government to stop enforcing the law. What part of the past 85 years of enforcement don't you understand? If the fact that they system has been in place and functioning and passing muster with the supreme court since 1913 isn't enough to convince you then you are suffering from oxygen deprivation.
btw: It is the 16th Amendment, not the 14th. |

This idea has been out there for years. Maybe you're right, but I pay my taxes because they are used to support programs that I care about like education, military benefits and building roads and bridges. Whether or not there is some legal loophole doesn't remove the intent of the law nor our obligation to support the society in which we live and receive benefits from. |

It's a hoax. It should be voluntary. If you want to contribute, please do so. If you don't you shouldn't be forced to do it Anything that's based on fear, spells SLAVERY/TYRANNY. I used to cringe when my mother would force me to file my taxes while I was in college and a few years after; she was always terrified of the consequences. I worked as a freelancer, didn't pay taxes, and I didn't make so much that I wanted to part with the little money I made.
For someone who was born and lived more than half her life in a communist country in constant fear of the govt I thought her reaction was preposterous. I mean you're coming to a "free" country and you're experiencing a worst fear than your previous experience. I mean what the f****. Now she doesn't control me or my decisions anymore.
I still do file my taxes each year, but at least I am not ignorant and go on believing the crap about "money goes for bridges, roads and education of illegal immigrants" . So I voluntarily do it. I will stop at any time if I feel I can fight the corrupt system, but at this point I am just minding my business being a "perfect citizen". I would like to know I have the option to refuse to pay, and that would be the definition of a free citizen. But the truth is that no matter what we believe or know, we are not free. People are in denial, it would crush their limited world if they realized things are not as they seem. |
