I just think it makes more sense. People should be able to keep 100% of their pay check. We should replace the IRS with the Fair Tax.

caligula_divinity | Who wil end up paying more tax? |
I was just wondering where the shortfall of billions that is being taxed via Inheritance Tax is going to0 come from if the tories get into government?
I'm presuming it'll be from the poor or essential services, ie NHS will be cut! |

apparently they will be charging rich foreigners who live in this country a flat fee of £25000 a year.
maybe they should charge all the immigrants a flat fee to live in this country. |

No.From the foreigners who live in the country under and pay no
taxes.Labour allows them. They give to the party funds. So the
Tory's are attacking Labour funds which are already low. Also
tax laws money people use to have their cash around the world
will be closed. |

They will recover the loss of revenue from the currently non domiciled individuals living in the UK. These individuals who are UK resident but non dom do not declare any income they have arising outside of the UK, only what they have in the UK. If the rules change then they will prob have to declare worldwide income and if they don't, I think they will be fined £25000 for each year. |

The Tories won't take it from the NHS or other essential services. Cutting inheritance tax won't actually lose them that much money at all.
No doubt they'll get it back by taxing the childless, unmarried, 30-something hard workers like me even more. Although that's more of a Labour trick. |

There is only 2 things in life that are certain - Death and taxes. We will all pay about the same, money osnt takenfrom one thing, it will be taken by another way. Mostly from the silent majority who are the British people |

Inheritance tax is paid by middle and lower income families
who haven't access to good tax planning or richer ones who are unfortunate with the timing of their passing. This proposal is reasonable except that the capital limit has been set too high. If government could remove 1/2 the waste in its expenditure it could pay for more tax cuts and essential services.
PS. The stamp duty policy is even more sensible, and yes I agree the tories maths is wrong on how much they would get
from resident aliens ( this might even be negative ) |
