Frank | Why I pay tax to the queen? ? |
i come from my country two years ago to work here in the unIted Kingdom and now I pay tax to the useless spoilt royals who do nothing for me, this not fair on my family it's ok for the british who call themselves "patriots' they can look after their beloved queen and pay her way but for hard working immigrants such as myself I don't want to pay for her the money needs to go on better things such as NHS to improve the system for us. Additional Details There is nothing great about this country, the NHS is a failure you forced to pay for a tried old woman, the place is full of half-educated sheep who're happy to go home and just watch there eastenders. |

I totally agree |

The tax you pay goes to the government. As I understand it, the royals do get something from the civil list but it's from the government and it's a pretty modest amount. It sounds like you resent British people, so why do you stay? Not everyone here loves the Queen as much as you think we do.
Actually, I dont watch Eastenders but thanks for the sterotype, you've just confirmed my thoughts about most of the immigrants we have here. Thanks. |

No name.

That's part of living in the UK. They hardly cost us a lot of money. Next time you go into a shop and pick up a chocolate bar think to yourself "This how much the Royal family costs me a year". If you don't like paying 62p a year towards the monarchy you can always go back to the country you came from, there are other people in the world who would like to live in the UK.
And whats wrong about people going home and watching EastEnders? And no one spends their whole evening watching EastEnders. Did you know EastEnders is on for 30 minutes? - And then you say we are half educated, what does that make you then? |

If you don't like are way's, rules, traditions etc etc, what is GREAT about this country is it's freedom. If you don't like it here for whatever reason you are free to leave, no one is stopping why don't you XXXX off. |

((LOON))

So you should come here and not pay tax then???
DONT GET ME WRONG I dont agree with what they cost us but you ever hear of when in Rome!!! |

Sorry, but it is perfectly in order for me and my contemporaries who are of British descent to criticise our politicians ,a royal family who have lived here for less than 300 hundred years and an education system that makes grown men weep but when a foreign national comes over here ,takes our money and has the audacity to complain then I feel justifiably miffed. |

If you don't like it go home. The royal purse its a very small percentage of taxes collected I remember a program some time ago which gave a percentage of something like 0.0001% goes into the royal purse (money to pay for the royal family)
If you dont like our taxing system then go back home. You may not want to pay tax but if your house was on fire you would call the fire brigade, if you was robbed you would call the police, if you was in an accident you would call an ambulance all this needs paying for if you dont want to pay for it dont come here.
If British citizen moved abroad we would pay their taxes if we moved to america we would pay for the up keep of the white house, Dont like dont go
I am sure you where well aware that the UK had a monachy before you came here. It is anoying when imagrant come to this country for what thay call a better way of life then try to change things when they get here.
If you dont like a country will a royal family you could alway try another country, how about Cuba or China |

Paying 62p a year for our Queen is much preferable to the alternative, President Brown or Blair. I think that would cost us a lot more, and not be nearly as effective in attracting tourists etc. The Queen is above politics, and if necessary could dissolve Parliament when MPs get excessive.
Why are you here? Is it because of free treatment on the NHS you despise? Don't let us detain you. S*d off back to your country of origin! |

The royal monarchy where here well before you and they only take a very very small portion of taxes. If your not happy with it you don'y have to live here. |

You unintelligent, ignorant prick. If you researched this country before dragging your ungrateful immigrant **** over here you would find out that although the queen costs £38 million a year, we taxpayers technically own most of her estate and receive income from it (from when a monarch a few hundred years ago exchanged a lot of property for a regular state income). We also earn untold millions in VAT payments and corporation tax from the tourist industry surrounding the Royal Family.
RE the NHS, it costs £111billion a year to run. £38 million is small change (0.034% to be exact). Your total disrespect for the hard work the underpaid employees do is a total disgrace and the reason parties like the National Front and BNP thrive |

you should have thought about this all before you came here. If you are so 'educated', you would have known Britain has a queen and that we all pay tax. You moaning CHIP ON THE SHOULDER type people make it rotten for decent immigrants (like myself) who have worked hard from day 1 and now have a VERY GOOD life because of the UK.
The NHS may not be perfect but at least its universally available and when I had a mystery illness some years ago I had extensive, costly tests within DAYS, which wouldn't have happened without payment in my home country (which I couldn't have afforded.)
But look, to be fair, not every place suits everyone. Why don't you pack up and go back? I'm sure no one would cry to see you go. |

Our "Queen" is our protector of the UK.
Her name safeguards our laws, our money, everything.
Everybody has to follow the "countries Rules" all over the world.
The only answer is find a country with rules less than ours. |

I agree with you to an extent, but you're hardly in a position to comment on this country when you're contributing to one the countrys current crisis. |
