I am being made redundant in a week (am currently on maternity leave) and I am due to have a baby in 3 weeks. My partner works full time (in a low income job), but HMRC have estimated that I will not be eligible for Working Tax Credit due to our household income in the lst tax year. As I'm being made redundant I am clearly not going to be earning this amount in the current tax year, so why would we still not be eligible for anything? I'm panicking! |

From april to april last year you earned too much, you will get it next year if it is still available. 2 years ago I earned £10k and the last few months I was unemployed because of redundancy, I started working in March last year and was earning £20k for that year but I qualified for WTC for that year which was £75 per week because I earned little the previous year, I am now redundant again and if I get a low paid job this year I dont earn WTC but no matter what I earn next year I will get WTC, I am a single female. You will be able to claim child tax credit this year. Try Entitled To website it gives info on what you will get. |
