Why are the British public so GUTTLESS?
Yes folks, thats the question, and before you all start critisising, just let me say I am a Brit also. What I am refering to is the constant bombarding of the UK public with all these damn Stealth TAXES by Godon Browns government. One of the biggest lies and cons was the recent flight tax which Gordon said would reduce carbon emmissions. Any person with any sense know quite well that five hundred planes taking off from heathrow without the tax produces exactly the same amount of carbon as fifty taking off with the tax applied. Last year it was decided to incorporate the garden size when working out your rates,. Two weeks ago we saw that a charge was to be added if you concrete or slab your garden , and now the latest a licence to buy a legal product like cigaretes. The number is endless, they are never satisfied, they just want blood out of a stone, and every time they tell us these taxes are for our benefit. The only time we have seen any BOTTLE is the POLL tax and the TANKER strike

I bet if they said 'right, we'll get rid of the stealth taxes but put 1p on income tax' you'd complain about that as well, public services have to be paid for, you'd soon complain if there wasn't Dr to treat you if you were in car accident or no one to put out a fire if there was one in your home.

fec get a life you that sad you should be put in the front line with my poor son facing death to, pay for you crap get a life if you so much bothered fecking go see him tell him your garden is to big i need to pay more, yes we all sick of tax he a *** hole but who is any better when we get a new one we moan bring back Maggie lol

Oh no!
No but we are thick because we keep getting outraged at poor standards in the health service and the lack of police but as soon as we're asked to pay more taxes for better services we act like we're being robbed.

Frankly me ole mate I think you should stop reading the "Daily Mail". I don't do it myself but I can smell it a mile off!

A nasty little publication for nasty little people, so give it a miss!

I TOTALLY agree with your comments, if we do not protest against the taxes, things will only get worse. Our ever escalating taxes are not being diverted to our NHS, roads, etc they are being wasted by this country's 'soft touch approach' when it comes to state spongers, which I am sick and tired of funding. We did not volunteer to pay taxes and as for Panther's answer he should work on his written English skills and remember that his son volunteered to join the armed forces who do an excellent job in often difficult circumstances!
