Good question. However it is because they are below the poverty level giving them the rebate. They do pay rent in a minimal amount and Section 8 or other programs pay the remainder of the rent. |

i am on section 8 and i don't get a "rent Rebate" some do but the must pay a certain amout out in rent i think. now that i think of it the only people i know who recieve rebats are on SSI. sorry if that's not much help. |

If you're on welfare alone, rent isn't paid for, you just get checks. Section 8 is cheaper rent, not full rent. |

cause its really freakn hard to live on welfare and the word welfare means to keep them well.you should try living on welfare maybe someday you will get sick and need to and it will be there for you too. |

probably the same reason as why they usually get a bunch of money back on income taxes and dont even pay that much, if any ..just gives them another reason to have more kids..grrrrrrr dont even get me started on that subject..good question, i would like to know the answer to yours as well as mine.... |
