Did you file your 1040 for 2007 in time to have it processed by April 15th?
Did you get a 2007 refund?
Did you have your 2007 refund direct deposited?
Did you pay your filing fees by having them deducted from your refund?
Did you get a refund anticipation loan?
Do you owe on a student loan in defaut?
Do you owe on child custody in defaut?
Do you owe any back taxes?
Those things, among others, can either delay or cause you not to receive a stimulus rebate.
And, we are not all getting $600. We are getting UP TO $600 if we qualify. Between $300 and $600, depending on our 2007 tax liabilty. |

Make sure you didn't get a Refund Anticipation Loan or Rapid Refund, if you did you have to wait for a paper check. Also, you might have gotten it transmitted to your bank but the bank hasn't processed it yet - I am hearing a lot of people whose banks take 2-3 days to process the deposits. If you don't get it by Monday and your sure you qualify for the direct deposit, and you don't have child support or student loans in garnishment stage, call the IRS, it's a long wait but they'll tell you what the issue is. Economic stimulus payments will be issued according to the last two-digits of the main filer's Social Security number. For joint filers, the payments will go out based on the person listed first on the return.
Last two SSN digits: Payments will be transmitted no later than:
00 through 20 ----------- May 2
21 through 75 ----------- May 9
76 through 99 ----------- May 16 |

do you qualify? i know that my dad and his wife didn't qualify for that because they earned "too much". likewise, if you earned too little, less thant $3000 in that year, then you wouldn't qualify either. |
