I was a tax woman and took the title Inspector of Taxes, which I think is also masculine. Tax man is just the imaginary big bad beast which people like to imagine, in reality, they are just very maligned ordinary men and women with families and mortgages to pay. |

Will the people who have wrote derogatory comments about Tax Inspectors please reconsider what they are saying.... everyone has to pay tax. Do you honestly think that society would function without these underpaid civil servants?
Think about the hard work they do, dealing with an often aggressive taxpayers who are baying for their blood? I know Tax Inspectors that actually do the job for the benefit of seeing their hard work build new hospitals, fund schools and the police force/fire service.
If you took a walk in their shoes for a day you would see that their work is necesssary and not all that much fun. |
