It's hardly the council's fault that it's employees are going on strike. Workers when in dispute with an employer also have the right to withdraw their labour. I am sure that all vitial life and limb services will continue and I pretty sure that they will catch up with emptying the bins etc with a week. The strike has little to do with politicians, unless you are suggesting the public back the strikers and complain to the politicans bout their demands not being met.
I predict that YOU on a personal level will notice no difference to your own situation due to any strike action |

Peace and respect to you my friend.
We are - as they say - backs against the wall. I put to people when they moan about stuff, that we should all stay in bed for one week in protest about taxes, rising crime and fuel, and the state of our hospitals and public services. Everybody laughs at Crazy Horse, but there will come a day when we need to do something drastic and if we all stayed in bed, by day 3 the PM would be on TV begging everybody to go back to work. So I agree with you and we should not put up with these things.
Stay cool, the hour is coming when Brown's govt and his town hall Cronies will be gone. |

Ok - what are YOU going to do about it ???? |

Hey Cisco

You're dead right Andrew people shouldn't be afraid to stand up to them,we pay their wages after all.
BTW the last time that council workers went on strike for two days less than 5% of the population actually noticed any difference. |

so the council will not work, don't plan any fires or be involved with any accident, don't expect to have any lighting on your street ,make sure you don't create any holes on your way forget about the kids going to school, you pay your council or you might go to jail.wait until your ninety five then you might not have to pay |

a well trained population is worth it's weight in gold and the UK ,thanks to the class system still has one of the best, that's why all the politicians are idiots you don't need any intelligence to run a country where they do as they are told ,the population will not object about the council strike because they have no figurehead to tell them to they will sit in there little houses and tut and complain but that's it |
|

oops!!!
 |
it is really sad but what can we do about it? if you're organise something i will join you.... |

andrew. it's great to find another lonely fighter. most of the uk residents seem to be scared to voice their opinion and support it with action. maybe the do-gooders have something to answer for in this matter as we are liable to be arrested for just f ting.
think back not too far when government have passed emergency bills to protect them on a controversial decision. for instance - striking.
the latest crap to be presented to us is about the stabbings. the home office minister says 'take the criminals to see their victims in hospital' and 'look at a prison'. now, we should all be creating trouble for these decisions and taking some serious action. but we don't. we are pathetic, weak and cowardly.
when companies and government demand more money from us they know we'll give it to them without any fuss. we ought to take example from the italians and french who show passion and action for what they want and what they believe is wrong.
i'm ashamed of this country. |

If you think it's so easy, why don't you start the ball rolling, and get people involved with you.
It's alright saying it, it's actually putting the plan into action and doing something about it.
I'm a school crossing warden, and my boss said if your not in a union, you can't strike, so I won't be striking.
And I would'nt anyway, because the kids are still at school, and need to get across the road safely.
Stop moaning about it, and get off your backside and do something about it. |
