Will I be affected if my partner becomes bankrupt. Everything in the house is mine. Can they take my car?
depends if he is your legal partner...get a solicitor

Your house and car will be safe as you can proof that you have sole ownership.
You need to find proof of ownership of all your contents in your house. Anything that you can not find proof of, will be taken as his assets

No- re; The Hamiltons- he went bankrupt and put everything in her name- no-one can take anything that belongs to someone else- despite what debt collectors say.

Unless you have proof of ownership, you may lose certain things if the bailiff comes along. Make sure that you have receipts for everything that belongs to you so they cannot claim it.

Yes and No. If you live together your income and assets are deemed to be owned jointly....having said that if you had two cars yours will be left and partners taken. In addition if you both needed your cars to earn an income (travelling to work) they would both be left although if they are high in value maybe not. You need to provide reasons why an assest should be kept when completing the petition for bankruptcy

I agree with the answers in principle - it is not you that is bankrupt - but the receiver may send in bailiffs to seize saleable property and they are suspicious of bankrupt's partners who seem to own all the "good" stuff. The advice to have a list supported by invoices or other historical reasons why it is yours is good. If you are a legal partner but not the house owner then you have the right to live in the home for up to a year while you look for another place to live. If you have a joint ownership then only the partner's share can be sold (but in practice they sell the whole place and you get your share).
Household effects like crockery, cutlery, bedding and towels are left out of the sales.

Not if it's in your name and anything else is in your name.
Get what you can signed over to you and take photo as proof positive. Then dump your partner.
