Paper checks will be mailed beginning May 16. When you get yours depends on the last 2 digits of your Social Security number. Here's a schedule:

This was posted by the producer of this news station, though he does not use a source. I believe it to be reliable, however:
The federal government is stepping in to help deal with the rising gas and food prices by sending out some economic stimulus checks sooner, especially if you'll get it through direct deposit.
Here's a look at the new schedule.
If the last two digits of your social security number are from 0-20 you should see the direct deposit by Monday.
If the last two digits are 21-75 you could see the money by May 5 and 76-99 will get their direct deposits on May 12.
If your check is mailed to you here's a look at when those checks will go out.
If the last two digits of your social security number is between 00 and 09 your check will be mailed the week of May 9,
10-18 on May 16,
19-25 on May 23,
26-38 on May 30,
39-51 on June 6,
52-63 on June 13,
64-75 on June 20,
76-87 on June 27,
and finally 88-99 - the week of July 4. |

There is no new printed schedual yet but here is what the new deal is.
Direct deposit will begin today.
There will be deposits tomarrow and Wed. but not on Thursday. Presumably because of it being the first of May and folks will be getting there SSI checks. However stimulus deposits will be made again on Friday,they are estimating that five million will go out friday. The stepping up of payments is because of a new system that updates itself daily instead of the old system that only updated weekly.
Paper checks ..going out by snail mail.......will begin to be recieved by May 9th,2008.
