I have used direct deposit from the IRS for years. They have always been on time with no delays.

Actually I read earlier that some people that it showed Feb 12th were changed to 1/25 & 2/1. I am not sure if that will be your case but check it daily for changes. And as for the jerk below with the "good god" comment, hey what are you doing reading this post if it did not have some interest to you. No need to be rude!

There is set deposit date depending on when a return is filed. Example, if you filed your return anytime between Feb 1 and Feb 7, the deposit will be sent on Feb 10. If you file anytime between Feb 8 and Feb 15, the deposit will be sent on Feb 18, and so on. This is just an example and these dates are not actuals. There is a chart that is provided online that shows all the dates. It just depends on if you can find it. I'm finding it difficult to find at the moment.

It will be deposited at midnight on that date, but don't try to use any of the money until you have confirmed its there.

But you were smart is asking for direct deposit. At least that way you're not also depending on the U.S. Postal Service, to also be "On-Time".

no its not garanteed that you will receive it on that date.. Irs website told me it is scheduled to be deposited on jan 25th its jan 29th and I still dont have my refund.

do NOT write checks before you actually see it in your account.
IRS response mechanism isn't 100% correct because of reprogramming required by law changes in Dec.
