pedrofern32 | Will a criminal record hurt my chances with employment? |

No, companies LOVE to hire criminals! They especially love those who got teardrops tattooed in prison. |

Yes it does, especially if it's a felony offense. |

Not if you want to work for the Cartels. |

There are many factors that will play into this. The major thing is what job you are applying for compared to what the offense was. A bank probably won't hire you if you were in jail for any kind of theft, especially monetary. Of course, the major things (murder, rape, armed robery, etc) are going to be a big black mark no matter where you apply. When the crimes occurred also has an impact. An employer is much more likely to hire you if you got out of jail 6 years ago versus 6 days ago.
The important thing is to be up front about it. They will find out about it if you lie. Tell them from the beginning that you made some mistakes in the past, but that you are a better person now, etc. Unfortunately you will have a harder time than someone with a clean record, but you are not completely out of luck. |

It will depend, I ran an employment agency for many years. I have dealt with many Fortune 500 Companies as well as smaller companies. I went to bat for many individuals looking for employment, with records. It just depends on the company, as well as having someone backing you. Good luck! |

Im sorry to say, but yes. You can clear it up with community service and good credit. Also you would have to make sure you dont get in any more trouble. |
