No you can't. You are making yourself unavailable for work. If am employer rang you you could not return. Even if you take a holiday in England you still have to show you are looking for work and must be available to cut your holiday short if an employer gives you an interview or wishes you to start work. In short, you must sign off. |

no JSA means Job "seeker's" allowance if you are holiday, you are not seeking work therefore not able to claim. |

If you are skint then it would be better not to have booked a last minute trip to America. The cost of that could keep you for months. To get the allowance you must be available to work, If you are away then you clearly are not available so you will loose the allowance. Also you will not be able to sign on. |

I know you can collect your allowance from other eu countries but I dont know about the US. I remember reading somethin about holidays which means you can keep you money up front. |
