A really easy way to file your taxes is online at Turbo Tax. It's free for simple returns like yours. See the link below.
And yes, file and you will get a refund! |

You aren't legally required to file. But you should anyway - you'll get your $209 federal withholding (not social security or medicare) back if you file. |

You will get back ALL of the taxes that you paid. Not social security, but the rest would come back to you. You didn't make enough, so you need to file your taxes. It's easy. |

okay i only made about 6700 and I called a few places and was told that i should be recieving for earned income about 1,600 plus what they deducted plus for each child so around 3,500.. is what i told it really also depends on dependants...
hope this helped.. but your required to file anyways every little bit counts..

Are you a minor or being supported by someone else? If so you need to make sure someone else is not reporting your income on their return and make sure you don't take a duplicate deduction for yourself if they are claiming you as a dependant.
As far as a refund goes. It really depends if you put any money in towards taxes and if so how much. You should not have owed any taxes last year because your standard deduction would have been more than the $2160 I believe but again, it depends on where that income was earned and how it was treated by your employer or the place that you earned it (Casino, settlement, contract labor, SS/disablity???).
So in other words, I and nobody else can really tell you without more info. Good thing is, if you are responsible for filing your own taxes, with your income, you can probably find some place locally that will help lower income individuals and families prepare and file their taxes for free. If not, you can always call the IRS with any questions. I have actually found them pretty useful in the past with a reasonable wait on their 1-800 number.
Best of luck! Hope 2008 is more fruitful than 2007. |

If you made or did not make money, the law (IRS) requires you to file a return anyway. You will probably get money back if any was withheld. By all means file. |
