The CPA

Generally, yes. Government has a hard time giving things up. When a program begins, the people working in the program have two jobs, one is run the program and the other is to justify the existence of the program. They are rarely phased out.
Then when another program comes along, the workers do the same thing, justify the existence. Then something even more heinous follows. The program tries to expend ALL of the funds allowed. Why? To show they were needed and to get more next year. They don't give rewards for frugality. The reward goes to those who know how to spend it all.
And woe to you who try and cut spending! Congress won't cut programs because if you vote for a cut on someone's pet program, someone will vote to cut yours. It is better to just shut up and get yours, and allow them to get theirs. After-all, it isn't Congress' money. Heck, they pass laws and exempt themselves from them. What a racket! |

yes and you are going to have to deal with it because that is how the social structure is built: To sustain your current infastructure. Who maintains your roads, pays for health case, education, pays for your local congressmans $200K salary or his crazy expense account? |

Yes. All politicians want to do is spend OUR MONEY to insure their re-election. Since the government raises their money by taxing us, taxation will continue to become more burdensome. |

In a word...yes.
Only if we find a way to regain some control over that private club on Capitol Hill, will we ever see any relief.
I suggest placing direct electronic communications in each voting district and forcing our representatives to vote on issues the way we tell them to. It's not really such a stretch. Our responsibility is to vote. If we cannot find the time to vote to inform our elected officials of our wishes on specific issues, then we deserve what we will get. They will never do what is right for you and me. They will always do what is right for them. Untill we let them know it's not okay anymore. |

Yes, unless we start supporting the FairTax (HR25/S25). It is the only way we can take the power out of Washington to raise and complicate taxation. |

Yes. The politicians have no interest, nor do they have any reward, for changing the already vastly complex taxation system. They will continue to rant and rave about this individual, or that indusrty not paying their "fair share" and the stupid general electorate will fall for the class warfare dribble and support increasingly cumbersome and burdensome taxation policies. Oh woe the Republic! |

If we keep voting for democrats and politicians that support it! Read Steve Forbes book and vote for those who favor his idea! |
