Keep the money and don't worry about it. IT'S MONEY. You said you need it anyway because you are in so much debt. So keep it!!! :)

get your boss to write it down in words and to sign something saying that you don't need to pay it back. |

You did the work so keep it. You are not stealing cos it was their fault. You prob have enough worries about your debt for just forget about this. BTW work out your hourly rate and make sure he isn't cheating you on the money you should be getting i.e. is he cutting your salary? |

If your boss says it's OK, accaept that and enjoy it. I really don't know how you could not have noticed that you were being paid too much, for so long. Odd. |

What's the problem here? Their error has come to light and they are generous enough to say, "It's our fault, we'll foot the bill." You must be the luckiest person in employment - I have never heard of anyone being in this situation before and being told they can keep the money! Make sure you hold onto your job too - sounds like you work for someone generous and understanding. Move on from this knowing that you're going no further in debt as a result. You shouldn't feel guilty - you're being told to keep the money. Nice one! |

Accept what he's said and be grateful - although perhaps get it in writing to really set your mind at rest. |

Do not worry, this was NOT your error. So if they over paid you, it was their mistake. Don't feel bad so long you were clueless that this was happening in the first place. Do not try to pay it back unless the law makes you. This was there error and because THEY made this error, you shouldn't be expected to pay it back. |

i think you worked hard for the money, just keep it. Plus, it would be stealing if the boss didnt know, but he does. On the other hand, if you have a guilty conscience, i guess you should at least give some of it back. It is what is at the back of your head, that will tell you what to do. If you are uncomfortable, i guess you are making the worng choice. |

I would totally not worry about it. it is admirable that you are so honest. But, it was the employer's fault and as such, it is his issue to deal with, not yours. If he said not to worry, then don't! He must think you are a good worker and want to keep you! Just relax, be thankful for it, and get on with life. No worries! |
