I Filed joint with my husband, and we qualify on all accounts for the stimulus, my # ends in 49, putting me in a group that should have gotten a direct depist by now. So here's what we did. We used turbo tax, filed, we owed a few hundred dollars, I had it direct debited from checking. At the end of filing it specifically asked us about entering a routing and checking # for stimulus and I did it. I also paid the 30$ for turbo tax fees with a credit card. So since it is now May 21, and still no word via bank account or snail mail. I'm curious, what is the consensus on when I will get ours? I did not have the money oweds to irs deducted from anything, except my own checking account.

I see one repsonse said that anyone using turbo tax won't get a direct deposit, but I have a friend who did the same as me, but didn't owe on turbo tax and did get her stimulus refunded, and she filed 2 days before me on the 12th of April |

I did taxes for my two grown daughters in just the same manner. Specifically, they paid their taxes by direct withdrawal and their Turbo Tax fees by credit card. The program asked if they wanted to give bank numbers so the rebate could be direct deposited, and they did so. The daughter who filed this way on March 28 got her rebate on time last week by direct deposit. The daughter who filed this way on April 2 did not.
I take this to mean that the April 2 filing was too late to be "processed" by the IRS in time. She will get her rebate by direct deposit, just like her sister, but we don't know when. There is no information on her in the IRS' "Where's my stimulus payment?" page, so we just have to wait. BTW, I have heard that the IRS only updates that page sometime each Monday, so clicking there 42 times a day (or once a day, every day) doesn't help. |

There's no guarantee that your direct deposit info made it to the IRS. That was last minute programming changes...
This also suggests that you filed on or after 4/1. The published dates were only for tax returns that were fully processed by 4/15. And, by the way, balance due returns are ALWAYS processed last, on a space available basis. Normally you wouldn't notice or care....
To *watch* for your stimulus, once a week (on Monday), go to irs.gov, click on where's my refund, then where's my stimulus and type in your info. If it says "sorry" the rebate program hasn't processed your tax account yet. |

Ok...I filed through TT and didn't have a fee!! So I received my rebate through DD!! That's cause I didn't have any fee's!! It was FREE!! Now...I can only think of 2 possible reasons!! It seems that if you owed the IRS, no matter how you paid for it, they opted to send those by paper check!! And is your husband's social higher than yours and listed first on the returns?? Because I know that whoever's name is listed on the tax forms first is the social that they IRS will use to figure out a time line!! |

I filed with Turbo Tax and paid fees via my credit and received dd on May 2nd as scheduled. My 2 cousins received dd as well on time. As suggested you check by calling the number or online with the where's my stimulus link it will let you know whether or not you will get dd or mail. |

I believe because you owed they still are sending you a paper check. Our # ends in 03 and we also did Turbo tax, so were still waiting. I spoke with someone at the IRS they said JUNe 2 is marked on our return but she didnt know why because it hasnt even been proccesed yet, and we filed at the end of Jan. Who knows but from what I have been reading I think your gettinga papre check |

You can call the IRS line and put in your husband's last 4 SSN, the number of people you deducted, and they'll give you more information.

If you used turbo tax you will NOT get your rebate direct deposited. I know because I did my taxes the same way and found out that any of us who used a "third party" processor like Turbo Tax will get a paper check mailed to us. BUMMER as I now won't get mine until the end of July. |
