Things are going to be tough for quite a few years I'm afraid. This extravagant consumerism couldn't last, I just feel sorry for young people buying their first houses, I think that the future will be in rented property, when I was a youngster, most people rented, nothing wrong with that, it's just that out expectations have been to own property. |

the banks hold the key ,they all borrowed of the large banks ie bank of england but its world wide but until they feel they can borrow of the large banks again morgages will stay high which means no building or selling which will snowball into the car sales travel agents and other big spend buisnesses until stability comes which wont be till about same time next year at the earliest |

The country is in recession, the government wont say so publicly.
It has a long way to run yet, look at 12-18 months. 30% as an adjustment is being fairly optimistic, it could well go lower. Think sensibly, mortgages at 3 times average wage ! It will bring back some sanity in the housing market, hopefully a house will become a home again and not an investment vehicle. There is a lot of pain to come. |

Well build your own houses then, its cheeper and will get more for your money and wont have to care about a stupid estate agent. So who cares if they cant sell houses. Not me coz i built my house, And i never looked back. |
